(Green Peas in Creamy Sauce)
2 Pounds Frozen Green Peas, thawed
1 tsp. Cumin seeds
1 tsp. Black mustard seeds
2 Tbs. coconut oil
Cream Sauce Mixture
2 Tbs. Tomato Paste
¼ cup water
1 small Lemon, juice
2 Serrano Pepper, finely chopped
1 Small bunch chopped Coriander leaves
1 Can Evaporated milk
1 tsp. Stevia
1 tsp. Cumin
1 tsp. Garam Masala
1 tsp. Salt
1 tsp. Red Chili powder (Cayenne Pepper Powder)
Combine all ingredients for Sauce Mixture in a small bowl. Then, add Spices and blend thoroughly, set aside.
Heat coconut oil in a saucepan or skillet on medium-high heat.
When hot, put in cumin and mustard seeds. As soon as mustard seeds pop out put in green peas. Sir-fry peas one minute. Put in Cream Sauce, mix well. Cook for 1 minute.
Simmer on very low heat for 10 –15 minutes.
Serving suggestion: serve over a very thin layer of basmati rice, Spiced Okra with Onions, and Split Black Gram.
